Coronavirus situation
In these worrying times, we want to reassure you that we are doing our best for the wellbeing of customers and staff, and regularly checking Government advice.
We’ve asked staff to follow public health guidance including frequent thorough hand washing, social distancing and to stay at home if they feel ill or have any symptoms of the virus.
SPATA, our trade association, in conjunction with the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group, is currently advising that swimming pool water is safe to swim in providing a correct chemical balance with sufficient sanitizer levels and the correct pH is maintained at all times. However, care must be taken to disinfect surrounding objects and surfaces.
We are asking our engineers to clean their hands before they attend to carry out a pool service, or other works and to douse with chlorinated water any swimming pool access points such as ladder handrails and coping stones and any pool equipment they’ve handled, before they leave.
NB: It has always been good hygiene practice to shower before and after swimming, and any bathers who feel unwell or have sickness or diarrhea should not swim. In the case of diarrhea, two symptom-free weeks should pass before swimming again.
Until further notice we are asking customers to stay indoors and avoid our staff when they visit. Please do not open doors or windows to speak to them or come outside. If you have any questions please telephone the office on 01342 844555 or email us at [email protected]. We can call the engineer straight away if necessary. Jobsheets will be emailed to you.
Please, also, notify us if you have a confirmed or suspected case of coronavirus in your household so that we may take extra precautions.
Currently we anticipate being able to continue servicing pools due to the health risks associated with untreated water and the danger from filters that are not backwashed regularly, but we will keep you updated.
Best wishes to you all. Please stay safe.
